Investment engineering connects the economics of a transaction with the conditions required to execute it. We consider matters such as collateral, leverage, repayment timing, distribution priorities, liquidity, and the allocation of risk among participants. Where suitable, this can include evaluating letters of credit or other credit support with qualified lenders and intermediaries.

The resulting strategy gives sponsors and investors a practical basis for discussing terms, testing tradeoffs, and moving toward documentation. Financing capacity and final terms depend on the assets, counterparties, underwriting, and agreements involved.
